So I've been doing a lot of thinking into which comic I should do, Cans of Beans (Carl & Dude) or A Violet for Master (Violet, Marcellus, Ya Lian, Liam, etc.)?
I love both stories equally, but I feel somewhat morally obligated to do A Violet for Master since it's been the project I've been fleshing out for 3+ years. I'm on the brink of getting the story for AVfM finished, but for the last 2 weeks, I've been thinking of nothing but Dude and Carl and their story, not to mention they're a hell of a lot more fun to draw. Actually, it only took 2 weeks to figure out their story.
My plan, at least so far, is to do some of the work for AVfM for my Animal Drawing class since the final project is free reign (as long as it includes animals), so I might as well work on the scene with horses in it. There may be a certain, um, animal in CoB, but I don't really feel like making CoB a school-based project.
So guys, which story do you prefer I do? AVfM is a much, much longer story that I anticipate will take at least 3 years to draw, if not more. CoB is a lot more improvisational, but I'm not quite sure how long it will be, but it probably may take 1 year to complete.
Working on both at the same time might be suicide, FYI.
Cans of Beans
Comedy/Slice-of-Life
Modern-Day setting, fictional college.
Carl Lester: A college student and convenience store employee who creeps everyone out for personal reasons. Trying hard to transfer to a better college. Hates nights with full moons. Uptight, hard-working, and has strong social anxiety.
Dude Brosmith: An older college student who's been an undeclared major for the last 6 years. Music junkie and party animal, "good" with the ladies, but cannot hold a relationship for more than a month. Laid back, slobbish, but kind.
Dude moves into Carl's life as his new roommate. The two go through the motions, growing closer and closer as the year comes to an end.
A Violet for Master
Drama/Romance - Modern Myth
Fictional 1930s-inspired world with hints of French Revolution.
Violet Fitzgerald: The first female captain of the Adrisian Air Navy, but secretly a slave to a powerful, mysterious figure whom she despises. Commanding but never quite in control.
Liam Cronin: Adrisian Ambassador for Mudanguo. Secretly using his political position to figure out what exactly happened to his fallen-from-power family. Naturally inquisitive and has a strong grudge.
Marcellus: A mysterious man with the ability to manipulate fire and teleport through flames and master of Violet. Has great interest for a certain Mudanese exhibition. Passionate and dangerous.
Captain Violet and her crew are ordered to ship an Exhibition on Artifacts from Mudanguo back home to Adrisia. While revolution and betrayal are stirring in the air, Liam discovers that the captain is connected to past events that lead to his family's ultimate downfall. Interweaving plotline, shoots between present and past, revealing the strange wilting relationship between Violet and Marcellus, and who Marcellus really is.
SO WHAT SHOULD I DO.
(Also, disregard number of comments. I reply a lot, and I'm interested in EVERYONE'S opinion!)

Cans of Beans + Senior Year Woes
It's been a while since I wrote one of these. Hi!
I've been in school for the last 3-4 weeks. It's my senior year as an LCAD animation student, and I'm busy as heck, but luckily I'm a master of scheduling to ensure that comics and animation get done on time (actually, more like scheduling apprentice, novice, padawan, etc.).
Actually, that's where I'll have to let you know on one of my production worries. Over the summer and part of last semester, I had time to 1) animate 2) produce comic pages and 3) promote comic around. Now that I'm in probably the most work-heavy portion of my school career, my schedule has now slanted to 1) animate 2) p
I haven't abandoned dA I swear! (CoB related)
I've just been seduced by the sweet, sweet community of Tumblr. It's not that I don't like dA, it's just Tumblr has been really good to me thus far. By the way, I'm doing doodle responses again. Go ahead, throw a question at Dude and Carl! http://cansofbeans.tumblr.com/ask
On that note, I'm going to start uploading pages from Cans of Beans on here, as a back-up gallery for it in case ComicFury (my comic host) ever goes dark or is unable to load. The official Cans of Beans site will always be the first to get comic pages.
Secondly, about the Cans of Beans site itself. How do you guys feel about it? Do you think some parts could be better? Ma
